Out of Character #2.10 – Table Manners
Not just for eating and elbows on the table, manners maketh the considerate gamer. Join Cotton and Jup as they talk about their top pet peeves regarding etiquette at the table - do's, don'ts, and what-the-hell-man's.
When the kneejerk reaction is to bottle up your frustration until it explodes, clearing the air seems Out of Character. -
Out of Character #2.09: Betrayals
Born of a Discord discussion that nearly got heated, Jup & Cotton alongside guests Bamce and Oz discuss the trope of the double-cross in tabletop gaming. Is it overused? Underutilized? Done poorly? (All of the above?)
Tune in and listen to valuable discussion about the backstab and anecdotes about its execution. -
Out of Character #2.08 – Games Inspired by Movies
Ecclesiastes 1:9 tells us "There is nothing new under the sun." While the passage can be a bit disheartening it serves as a reminder that there's an entire world of inspiration to draw from - and for this episode, we look at movies in particular. Join Out of Character hosts Jupiter and Cotton as they discuss their top movies that inspire their games, and perhaps their suggestions can inspire yours.

Out of Character #2.07 – Not With A Bang, But A Whimper: Game Fizzle
The end of a campaign is a momentous occasion. Plot threads resolved, closure achieved, the bad is laid low and the good rises triumphant!
Well, it's supposed to be.
Join Out of Character hosts Jupiter Sanders and Cotton as they talk about the firecracker of a game fizzling out before the explosive finale, leaving the players and the GM wanting. Why does it fizzle? What can be done to negate the slow death of a campaign? All these, and more.

Out of Character #2.04 – Lawbreaking By Design
Continuing with the themes of previous shows this season, Cotton & Jup design a Shadowrun session around the destruction of a datastore based (loosely) on the deletion of Toy Story 2, showcasing how easy (and hard) planning a job can be.
It might not be the best example, but the joy at deleting a much-anticipated blockbuster hit wouldn't be too Out of Character. -
Out of Character #2.03 – Doing Crimes
The heist. A genre so popular it's found in science fiction, fantasy, modern fiction, harlequin romances - suffice to say, you can find a heist anywhere you look. Tabletop gaming should be no different, so join Jup and Cotton while they discuss the allure of the heist, the ironclad laws of running a heist at your table, and some of their favorite tropes associated with them.
The devil's in the details and behind the GM screen, though there's nothing but smiles around the table when it's Out of Character. -
Out of Character #2.02 – How To Succeed At GMing Without Really Trying
Well, maybe we're trying a little.
Jup and Cotton sit by the proverbial fire and discuss GM stories from their pasts, tips they picked up from the same, and provide advice to first-time GM's dipping their toes in the water.
From planning to props and fantasy to fascist megacorps, there's nothing a good GM can do that's Out of Character.

Out of Character #2.01 – Hydras and Barghests and Chimera – Oh My!
A new year, a new season, and a new format! Join Out of Character hosts Jupiter Sanders and Cotton for a discussion on what they believe are the top five monsters to use, or are used, in a tabletop roleplaying game.
It can be animal, vegetable, or mineral - but to say the player isn't the most dangerous foe at the table would be Out of Character.
